Parmesan is great, i have it running all the time now! thanks

one slight issue…

I attempted to use a dp which was huge (over 3 megs big), this is the one i use on the pc, but i it caused parmesan to crash (internal error i think). Everytime i loaded parmesan after,it continued to crash.

So i deleted it fromthe machine, and choices: and re-installed (copied) from the downloaded archive..

all works great,except my friends display pictures don’t show up (just a grey box) however mine appears on my chats with my gf…

am using an adjust SA RiscPC

I have just noticed that every so often there is a ‘sockets error’
followed by
‘Invalid Object Id (0xd805a468) (0×21c5a468) (0×2).

any ideas?

Hmm, ok. I can think of a couple of reasons why using a huge dp might make it crash, so I’ll investigate that. I can’t think off hand why other people’s display pictures wouldn’t be fetched – they should normally get filled in one at a time. Parmesan doesn’t store files in many places, so if you really deleted the app and its choices structure, it shouild work as a fresh install would.

The second problem might be related to the first – do you know when these errors are reported? Is it just periodically, or when you try to type a message to someone, etc?

OK, that probably happens if someone goes offline while parmesan is in the middle of transferring a picture or emoticon. I need to revamp the error reporting in general, since those sorts of errors can usually be ignored.

I’m perplexed about why you’re not seeing anyone else’s pictures, though. Is that still a problem?

I also cannot see any non- standard emoteicons that anyone sends me!

but If i log in as a different user (My Fiance’s account) all images show up correct?

Have deleted everything again, but it still occurs (but only on parmesan), so I feel that I am not deleting everuthing.

Other than that, I use it every day :@) fantastic piece of software…

Is the XML parser going to get included with netsurf? ;@)

After playing with the new version (1.10), and reading the article in this forum ‘Parmesan on a Mico’, I have also deduced that there is a file transfer problem!

After setting up a new user (fresh) in Adjust and running Parmesan, and the same things happened:

My DP is never seen on other user’s computer
I cannot see anyone’s DP apart from my own
Sending a file from Parmesan results in the usual ‘Accept’ dialog on MSN Messenger Live!, clicking accept causes nothign to happen and then time out.
Sending a file from MEssenger Live to Parmesan results in nothign visible

However sending messages works ok!
