Return key is AWOL

While Parmesan is a fine piece of work so far my use of it is somewhat hampered by the fact that <return> in the message window does not cause the message to be sent. I can’t believe this is a problem witnessed by the author since it’s so fundamental. I wonder if it’s an interaction with Select (v6.06) which is causing it. |

Well, it certainly does not seem to be a problem here… (Iyonix, RO5.13) |

There does seem to be a problem with the Return key on Select / Adjust. It’ll be an interaction with the Toolbox modules on these systems – interestingly it doesn’t work with the Toolbox supplied with RISC OS 5 OR 6, but it DOES work with ROL’s “latest release” (2003) modules. It’s somewhat annoying, as I have to go to some pretty horrendous lengths to get Return working AT ALL, and it’s such a basic thing to want to do that I’d like to consider it a bug in the Toolbox. That’s not a very helpful position to take from your point of view though, so I have an idea of something which might fix it – I’ll try to make the change and get you a copy to play with. I have more controversial opinions on the Toolbox (I’m rather fond of it) but they can wait :-) |

The new version uses a different method to intercept Return keypresses which might help this – anyone able to try it? |

That’s looking good. <return> now does what I would expect it to. |
